Swimming Pools, Spas, Hot Tubs & Saunas
Nothing says fun in the sun like swimming pools. Homeowners can also add spas, hot tubs or saunas to increase their quality of life. In-ground swimming pools not only make a home more inviting but in some areas of the country, they can increase property values up to 15 percent. Such swimming pools can be built out of concrete, gunite or fiberglass. In-ground pools may also be lined with vinyl. Homeowners can choose a type of pool based on their location, budget and personal style. Hot tubs gained popularity in the mid-1900s and spas were later created out of molded fiberglass to fit larger amounts of people. Now the terms "hot tubs" and "spas" are used interchangeably and can be made out of wood or synthetic materials. These warm, bubbly pools of water are great for unwinding after a long day at work. Decks or patios can be built around spas and hot tubs, creating a private oasis for homeowners. It is said that a daily 20-minute stint in a sauna can relieve arthritis and win the war against stress. Who wants the hassle of getting to public saunas when home saunas are now available? There are many types of home saunas available so homeowners can find exactly what they want.
